The connection game on a board of hexagons. Red joins the top and bottom edges, Blue the left and right. Stones never move, and one side always gets through: there is no draw.

How to play

Tap an empty hexagon to place a stone. Red always opens. The edges of the board are marked in each side’s colour.

Build an unbroken chain of your stones from one of your edges to the other. Blocking the other side and extending your own chain are usually the same move.

Against the computer, “Take back” undoes your last move and the reply. With a keyboard, the arrow keys move a cursor and Enter places the stone.

A tip

Two stones one step apart that share two empty neighbours are as good as joined: if the other side takes one neighbour, you take the other.

The centre is worth more than the edges. On a bigger board, think in chains of these bridges rather than single stones.
